Solving the problem of temporarily disabling the NOD32 antivirus application can be useful to avid gamers when launching some versions of online multiplayer games, but it should be borne in mind that even a short-term disabling of antivirus protection can harm your computer.
Instructions
Step 1
Perform a standard logon to the computer under your account and open the main system menu by clicking the "Start" button to carry out the procedure for temporarily disabling the NOD32 antivirus application. Expand the All Programs link and launch the required application.
Step 2
Find the NOD32 icon in the notification area and open its context menu by clicking the right mouse button. Specify the command "Temporarily disable protection" and confirm the execution of the selected action in the opened window of the application request by clicking the "Yes" button. Check the box next to "Do not ask this question again" if you want to perform this operation frequently.
Step 3
Specify the desired period of time for disabling anti-virus protection in the next dialog box of the application and confirm your choice by clicking OK. The default options are:
- until the next restart of the computer;
- four o'clock;
- one hour;
- Thirty minutes;
- Ten minutes.
Step 4
Wait for the successive appearance of messages from the Windows system and the NOD32 antivirus application itself about disabling computer protection and take the necessary actions that required the prohibition of the program.
Step 5
Please note that the application manufacturer does not recommend temporarily disabling the antivirus using the task manager utility. If necessary, use the following sequence of actions to create an exception for the anti-virus scan of the required program or file.
Step 6
Once again, call the context menu of the NOD32 item in the system tray by right-clicking and selecting the "Additional settings" item. Select the "Exceptions" item in the left pane of the window that opens and use the "Add" button.
Step 7
Specify the full path to the executable file of the program to be canceled in the additional dialog box and authorize saving the changes by clicking OK.
