Instructions
Step 1
The most popular video capture program is the Fraps utility. It is quite simple to configure and has the necessary set of functions. Install this program using the Pro version. Remember that the demo mode of the program allows you to create videos that are no longer than 60 seconds.
Step 2
Run the installed program. Before starting video recording, you need to correctly configure the utility settings. First, open the General tab. Disable the Fraps window always on top function by unchecking the corresponding item. You don't need to have a program window while recording a video.
Step 3
Go to the FPS tab. Disable the automatic stop recording function. To do this, uncheck the Stop benchmark automatically box. It should be noted that this function is sometimes very useful. If you are using Fraps to "cut" the desired moments of the gameplay, sometimes it makes more sense to set the time for automatic recording shutdown.
Step 4
Open the Movies tab. Enable or disable the sound recording function by changing the option in the Record sound menu. Check the box next to Full-size. This will allow the program to create high quality videos.
Step 5
Set the number of frames captured per second. For game video, it is perfectly acceptable to use 30 fps. If you want to create high quality video, set the desired value yourself, for example 99 fps.
Step 6
Highlight the Video Capture Hotkey field. Press the key to start and stop video recording. Now select the folder where the received recordings will be saved.
Step 7
Minimize the Fraps window and start the game. At a certain moment, press the set "hot" key to start the video capture process. Do not forget to stop recording so that the program will save the resulting video.
