If you are actively using your operating system's registry setting, it will be helpful for you to know that you need to back up your data occasionally. It happens that when the power supply is cut off, your operating system may crash. If you had backups of your system settings, your problem had a solution in a few minutes.
Necessary
Regedit Registry Editor
Instructions
Step 1
To create a backup copy of the registry, follow these steps:
- log in to the system as an administrator. If you are under a different account, not all system settings will be copied, but only those associated with your profile.
- export the old settings to the hard disk or create a backup copy of a specific partition or subsection. Remember that the backup must be saved in a specific folder on your hard drive or on any removable media. The backup can then be imported to completely undo any changes made.
Step 2
To start creating a backup, you need to start the registry editor: click the "Start" menu - "Run" - type regedit. After clicking on the "OK" button, you will see the registry editor window.
Step 3
Select the registry key you want to copy.
Click the "File" - "Export" menu.
Step 4
Select the folder where you are going to save the backup. Enter the name of your backup - "Save".
