Transferring a program from one computer to another is sometimes complicated by the peculiarities of the program. It is not always enough to copy the directory to Program Files. For example, with the "Consultant" program, everything looks much more complicated.

Step 1
Copy to removable media the Consultant directory from the list of programs installed on your computer in Programm Files or from any other directory where you installed it. In addition, transfer the folder containing the program configuration files, it is called ConsLocalUserData.
Step 2
Copy the data to the computer where you want to transfer the "Consultant" program. Copy exactly to the directories where they were on the previous computer. If you are doing this under the Windows XP or Windows 2000 operating system, you definitely need to perform these actions under an account with administrator rights.
Step 3
Run the Cons.exe file from the Consultant folder with the / REG key, if necessary. Run as administrator on Windows Vista or Windows Seven. Agree when the program prompts you to automatically create a shortcut to launch from the desktop. Restart your computer.
Step 4
Then download Cons.exe again with the same key and call the technical support service of the "Consultant" program. Register your copy of the software product, indicating in advance that it was transferred from one computer to another. Please note that if you leave a copy of the "Consultant" program on an old computer, then after registration the updates for it will no longer be valid.
Step 5
If you have any problems, please contact the technical support of the "Consultant" program. Each city has its own branch, so there are different numbers for each of them. Usually your sales representative from the company leaves it for you. Please note that you can also call the Consultant's technical support specialist, who will take the necessary steps to transfer the program on his own.
