Instructions
Step 1
The easiest and most correct way to buy a software package is to conclude a maintenance contract with the seller. This service is paid. But you can always contact the specialists in case of problems while working with the program. This service also includes regular software updates. Almost all vendors of this kind of software offer this service with slight differences.
Step 2
Get a release with a new configuration from the manufacturer or download it on the Internet from the official website of the company yourself. You can also always ask about all possible problems on the 1C forum.
Step 3
Make sure to copy your current database to backup storage. This will protect you from data loss when updating the program, since at the time of the release change, all information stored in the program folder is deleted or replaced.
Step 4
Launch the 1C: Enterprise program. Then go to the configurator setting mode. Select the "Support" menu. After a new window appears, click on the "Support Settings" item. Now feel free to check the boxes next to the items that say about the possibility of making changes to the configuration. Do not forget to enable the checkbox in the fields: "Load modified configuration", "Search for available updates". This procedure is required. The update process will not complete without it.
Step 5
Create a folder on your local drive where the downloaded files will be downloaded. The update can also be done from a CD. Find the uptsetup folder in the update files. This folder is specially created to update the release of an already installed program. Open it and run the setup.exe file. Once launched, the installer will ask you to specify a folder for templates. After that, the program will independently detect the files that need to be replaced with new ones. If during the update several times a window appears with the buttons "Continue" and "Abort", just click on the button to continue the process. Thus, the program tries to notify you about the progress of the release installation. Similar windows appear after each stage.
Step 6
After the update process is completed, start the 1C: Enterprise program. This will allow the updated application to generate a new file directory.
