With repeated use of an inkjet printer, the ink cartridges sooner or later run out of ink. However, it is not always possible to replace used cartridges with new ones every time. That is why it is advisable to learn how to refill them yourself.
Necessary
- - cartridge;
- - ink;
- - syringe for 20 cubes;
- - 2 needles - sharp and dull;
- - knife;
- - an old towel or napkin.
Instructions
Step 1
First, remove the cartridge to be refilled from the printer and place it on a napkin or towel. Then find the seam at the bottom of the cartridge, which is covered with a protective sticker. Take a knife and carefully cut the sticker along this seam to expose the filler hole.
Step 2
Now you need to remove a special rubber ball that protects the cartridge from drying and ink leakage, as well as from getting inside debris. Take an awl or needle and, carefully pulling out the ball, place it on a napkin. Make sure not to get lost.
Step 3
Place the cartridge flat. Place a blunt needle on the syringe and draw up the 20 ml required for refilling ink. Insert the syringe into the hole of the cartridge to a depth of about 1 cm, and gently pushing the plunger, inject ink into the container. When ink appears in the fill port, draw about 1 ml back into the syringe as there will be foam.
Step 4
At the end of refueling, carefully replace the previously removed rubber ball. Then check to see if ink is leaking from the cartridge by flipping the filler opening down over a towel or napkin.
Step 5
Next, you need to remove air from the ink bag. To do this, place the cartridge so that its outlet is at the top. After that, put a sharp needle on the syringe and lower its end into this hole strictly vertically, to a depth of 1 cm. Press the needle onto the rubber pad of the pump and extract air into the syringe. Remove the needle, lower the pad, and close the cartridge lid and put it back into the printer.
