You need to update codecs depending on the situation. Go first to the official website of the developer of this application, then to the codecs section. Download codecs and install on your computer. After that, they will be updated. Reboot your computer. After rebooting, start the player.

The player will now use the new version of the codecs. Please note that not all players have internal codecs. If their use is not provided, then it will not work to update the codecs for this particular player.

The second option is to use external codecs. As a rule, most of the players use them. There are quite a few different packages of external codecs out there. But the most popular and completely free of them is the K-Lite Codec Pack.

There are two package versions of this codec. The first is the basic codec pack, the second is the K-Lite Codec Mega Pack. The second advanced option is recommended if you want to fine-tune the operation of your player. But for most users, the basic package is more than enough.
Step 5
All you need is to download the latest version of the package of these codecs. When downloading them, consider the version of your operating system. Also, do not forget about its bit depth, otherwise you will not be able to install them. During the installation process, you will see a window in which the checkbox will mark the codecs that should be installed. If there is no checkbox next to some of them, then you will need to mark this codec yourself. After installation, restart your computer.
