Step 1
Check the firmware version your DVD player is using. This will allow you to select the appropriate program and find out if updates are available for your player. To find out the software version, use the corresponding item in the device menu. It is usually found in the settings of the device in the "About" section. You can also get the information you need in the instructions that came with the device.
Step 2
Go to the official website of the player manufacturer and find your model in the list provided. Use the Drivers or Support section to download drivers.

Check the firmware versions available for the player. If the version number is higher than the one recorded on your device, you can download the required package by clicking on the corresponding link. If the site contains only the files of the version specified in the device menu, you do not need to download them. This means that at the moment the manufacturer has not yet released updates for your player.
Step 4
After the file has finished downloading, you will need to burn it using a disc burning utility or standard system tools. In the event that the codec package was supplied in the form of an image for an ISO disc, burning must be carried out with a specialized program UltraISO or Alcohol 120%. Download the required utility and install it, then open the firmware file using the selected program. To do this, right-click on the image file and use the "Open with …" section.
Step 5
Insert a blank CD into the drive of your computer and copy the necessary files to it, and then use the link "Burn files to disc". Follow the instructions on the screen to finish writing data to the media. If you are using a program for burning, click on the "Record" - "Start" icon and wait until the end of the procedure.
Step 6
After finishing recording, insert the disc into the player's drive. If all actions were performed correctly, the player will automatically start updating the codecs. After the end of the procedure, the device will reboot and issue a corresponding notification. The DVD player software update is complete.
