Instructions
Step 1
If your computer or laptop uses an AMD processor, we recommend using the AMD OverDrive program. Download this program from the official site www.amd.com. Install it and restart your computer. Launch AMD OverDrive and wait while the program scans your computer.
Step 2
Expand the Performance Control menu and go to the Fan Control submenu. Find the icon of the required fan and set the minimum value for the rotation speed of its blades. If you are not sure about the correct choice of the fan, then evaluate visually the speed changes by first opening the system unit. Click the Apply button to save the specified parameters of the coolers.
Step 3
Click the Preferences button, which is located in the upper right corner of the working window. Select the Settings menu. Find the Apply my last settings when system boot menu and check the box next to it to activate. Click OK and close the program window.
Step 4
As an alternative to the OverDrive utility, you can use the SpeedFan program. Download and install this app. Restart your computer and launch SpeedFan. The window that opens will display the temperature of the devices on which the sensors are installed. In the lower part of the window there are several names of coolers. Press the Down arrow several times to decrease the rotation speed of the desired fan blades.
Step 5
Wait for a while and check that the temperature of all devices is within acceptable limits. If the temperature values are higher than the norm, then increase the speed of the fans. Check the box next to the Auto fan speed parameter. Do not overheat your equipment all the time. This may adversely affect its performance or lead to complete damage to the device.
