There are several types of passwords installed on a computer. This can be the general password required to continue booting the PC, or the password to enter the operating system. Sometimes a code is used to gain access to the BIOS menu.

Instructions
Step 1
If you need to change or delete the password that appears immediately after turning on the computer or when entering the BIOS menu, then we recommend using the mechanical method. Naturally, it is rational if you do not know the correct password. Turn off your computer and unplug it from AC power. Remove the cover from the system unit.
Step 2
Find a small washer-shaped battery on the motherboard. It is needed to store BIOS settings and some other parameters. Remove this battery from the slot. Now gently close the pins located in and around the socket. Use a metal screwdriver or tweezers for this. This is necessary to reset the BIOS settings and apply the factory settings. Please note that if you performed the procedures for overclocking the CPU or RAM, then all these changes will be canceled.
Step 3
If you need to change the password of the operating system account, then use the administrator account for this. Turn on your computer and wait for the OS to load. When the user selection menu appears, specify an account that has administrator rights. Sign in using this account.
Step 4
Now open Control Panel and navigate to User Accounts. Select the Manage Another Account menu. Specify the account for which you want to remove or change the password. Select "Remove Password". This is necessary if you do not know the old password. Remember to use the highest privileged account to complete this procedure.
Step 5
Now select "Create password" and enter the value of the new code for this account. Restart your computer and log in using the changed account.
