Improving computer performance is a problem that weighs on most users. This can be done in a more expensive way - buy more powerful components, or you can try to increase their power yourself. To increase performance, you can try to overclock the processor by increasing the voltage applied to it. It's risky business, but if you desperately need a powerful machine right now, why not give it a try.

Instructions
Step 1
Disconnect power from the system unit. Remove the processor from its socket and remove the cooler together with the heatsink from it. Examine the processor. Find the contacts you need to connect. Then prepare the work area where you are going to raise the voltage on the processor. Remove all unnecessary things so that nothing can interfere with you, since this work is very responsible and requires special attention.
Step 2
Take a small piece of copper wire with a small cross section. Make a loop at one end to put it on the contact. Then pass the free end of the wire through the remaining two contacts so that you have a triangle. Take a pair of pliers, pull the wire so that it holds on its own, but do not overdo it - the contacts should retain their original shape.
Step 3
Check the quality of the connection of the contacts and return the processor to its original place. To increase the voltage on the processor, you need to close those three contacts. If you have hooked on some more, then the likelihood that the processor will simply burn out increases several times. Turn on the power and start up the computer.
Step 4
To check if the processor power has increased, right-click on the "My Computer" icon on the desktop. A window will appear. It will contain information about the processor power. Don't expect the power to increase too much. If the order of 0.3-0.4 GHz is added to its nominal value, you can consider yourself lucky. This value depends on the characteristics of the processor and on the manufacturer.

Think about it, do you want to take risks? Forcing the voltage on the processor is an extremely risky task, as mentioned above. It can lead not only to damage to the processor itself, but also to other elements of your personal computer. It would be more expedient to buy a chip with a higher power, which would eliminate all the above-mentioned inconveniences.
