Often, the overstated complexity of the game drives gamers to white heat. It also happens that on the penultimate location a "critical error" occurs, which does not allow playing further. However, this is not at all a reason to give up the game, because there are many opportunities to just skip an unpleasant level.
Instructions
Step 1
Use cheats. This is especially true for older platformers, which did not have a sensible save system. Previously, you were prompted to enter the code for the level at the very beginning of the game. Now this requires opening a console or a special menu, but the essence remains the same - by entering a cheat, you will instantly be taken to the next level. You can find a complete list of such codes on the Internet or in the CheMax program.
Step 2
Look for funds inside the game. This rarely happens in corridor shooters and linear action games, but it is quite possible in RPGs and platformers. Remember the classic episode from Super Mario Brothers, where you could find a passage to the last one on the first level - this is often found in other games and is called "Easter eggs". There are entire forums on the Internet dedicated to "Easter eggs and hints" from different games - among them you may well come across something that suits you.
Step 3
Work with the console. The scheme is similar to the use of codes, but it is fundamentally different in the principle of operation - using the game console, you invade the "insides of the game" and work with them directly. The most famous example of this is the Source engine used in Half-life 2. The console user is free to enter a load map at any time and get a list of maps located in the game directory. The only problem is that they are not in chronological order, but in alphabetical order - the user will have to guess which location will be next.
Step 4
Download save. It often happens that in pirated versions of recently released games, there are critical errors that do not let gamers go further (examples of this are the games Mirror's Edge, GTA 4 and Dead Space 2). In such cases, owners of licensed versions come to the rescue - after going through to a certain point, they save the game and upload the save to the network. By downloading it, the user will skip some part of the walkthrough, but avoid a fatal error.
