To remove a viral advertising banner from your computer, special utilities have been developed. There are methods that allow you to disable the advertising window without using additional programs.
If you are using the Windows 7 or Vista operating system, then activate the "Startup Repair" function. Insert the Windows installation disc or dedicated recovery disc into the DVD drive tray. Restart your computer and hold down the F8 key.
Select your DVD drive to continue downloading. In the second or third window of the installation program, the item "Advanced recovery options" will appear. Open it up. Select "Startup Repair" and confirm the activation of this process. Wait for your computer to restart.
If you do not have the necessary disk at hand or you are using a different operating system, then try to find the banner disable code. Fill in the fields provided and click the "Find Code" button.
Substitute the suggested combinations in the banner field. If you enter the correct password, the advertising window will be disabled. Check the system with an antivirus program. Update the virus databases in advance.
Go to the Dr. Web anti-virus website and download the CureIt utility from there. Run this program. Wait for the operating system scan to complete. If, during this process, windows appear prompting you to delete certain files, confirm this operation.
Clean the registry after removing the banner ad. For this, it is better to use an additional utility, for example CCleaner. Launch this program, open the Registry Cleanup menu and click the Analyze button. After completing the preliminary preparation of the registry files, click the "Fix" button and wait for the process to complete.
