Opera browser does not have the usual uninstall file. But do not assume that because of this you will have to put up with the presence of an unnecessary browser on your computer and pretend that it simply does not exist. You can uninstall the Opera browser without the uninslall.exe file.

Instructions

Step 1

To uninstall the Opera browser, open the Control Panel from the Start menu. Regardless of how the panel is displayed (in classic or by category), click on the Add or Remove Programs icon - a new window will open. Wait until a list of all programs installed on a particular computer is formed.

Step 2

Using the scroll bar or mouse wheel, find the Opera browser in the list and select it by clicking once on the required line with the left mouse button. On the right side of the line, information will be displayed: how often the browser is used, how much space it takes on the hard disk and when it was last launched. Click on the "Delete" button.

Step 3

A new "Install Opera [version number]" window will open. If you want to delete along with the browser all cookies, history, passwords and certificates, user settings for Opera, bookmarks, contacts and notes, mark the "Delete user data" box with a marker. Click the "Delete" button at the bottom right of the window.

Step 4

After the uninstallation process starts, the Opera browser web page will automatically load, which will inform you that the uninstallation is complete (Opera is now uninstalled). If you wish, on the same page, you can explain the reason for deleting the browser by marking the required field with a marker or stating your own reason. In the Add or Remove Programs window, the line with the name of the browser will disappear from the list. Close the window.

Step 5

Go to the folder in which Opera was saved (by default, the browser is installed in the C: / Program Files / Opera directory) - there may be several files left that have not been deleted. Select the Opera folder and delete it in the usual way by pressing the Delete and Enter keys, or by right-clicking on the folder and choosing the Delete command from the drop-down menu.
