The success of the Instagram app prompted Facebook executives to create their own program for a similar purpose. Unlike the prototype, the main emphasis in it is not on special effects, but on better integration with the social network.
While the Instagram app is available for two platforms: iOS and Android, Facebook Camera is currently only compatible with the first of these operating systems. It is available in the App Store and is free - of course, provided that the owner of a smartphone or tablet has an unlimited Internet tariff.
Similar to Instagram, Facebook Camera lets you add special effects to your photos. But there are noticeably fewer of them, and not all of them are designed to imitate film photography. In addition to providing images with comments, the program also allows you to mark friends on them and explain exactly where the pictures were taken.
The mode of multiple loading of photos from iPhone or iPad memory is very convenient. Instead of sending them to the server separately, you can now select the desired images and then place them in your album at the same time. This saves a lot of time.
Similar to the universal Facebook app for iPhone, Facebook Camera lets you keep track of your friends' current events. But here only those events are shown that are related to the addition of new photos by friends. Any of them can be viewed right there.
The programmers are constantly fixing the noticed shortcomings in the application, making it even more convenient. Help on using functions has recently been added. The new version of the program places images on the server in the same order in which the user marked them. It also has improved stability in case of disabling location determination.
Avid photographers are advised to keep both Instagram and Facebook Camera on their phone or tablet. The first of them can be launched when you need to get an imitation of film photography, and the second - if you need to use other effects, as well as quickly find out what new images your friends have added.
