If you have several operating systems installed on your computer, and you only need one, then remove the unnecessary operating systems. To do this, you can use Windows tools or additional utilities.
Necessary
Partition Manager
Instructions
Step 1
Turn on your computer and select the boot of the operating system that you want to save. Wait for it to start and open the "My Computer" menu. Open the local drive where the redundant operating system is installed. Select folders related to system directories and some files. Press the Shift and Delete keys. Confirm the start of the process of deleting the selected data. You will have to confirm the deletion of specific files many times.
Step 2
To make things easier, first copy all the data you need from this local drive. Use any other partition on your hard drive for this. Now return to the "My Computer" menu and right-click on the desired section. Select "Format". Specify the cluster size and file system type for this partition, which will be set after it is cleaned up. Click the "Start" button and wait until the formatting of the system volume of the hard disk is complete.
Step 3
In some situations, the local drive containing the second operating system may not appear in the normal list. Open the control panel and go to the "Administration" menu. Select "Computer Management" and go to the "Disk Management" submenu.
Step 4
Now select the local disk with the unnecessary operating system and open the "Action" tab. Go to the All Tasks submenu and select Format. Start this process.
Step 5
If, however, you could not access the desired partition using this method, then install the Partition Manager program. Start it by selecting the Advanced Mode option. Right-click on the graphic image of the required section and select "Format". Click the Apply Pending Changes button after preparing the partition formatting options.
