Magnifier is an application that allows you to magnify an image on your computer screen. This feature will be useful primarily for those who have difficulty viewing small-sized objects.
Instructions
Step 1
Click on the "Start" button located in the lower left corner of the screen. Select "Standard". If you do not see the inscription "Standard" in the drop-down list, then first click on the item "All programs". Then select "Accessories" from the list of installed programs.
Step 2
Click on the "Accessibility" section and select "Magnifier" from the list. After that, a window with an enlarged image of the objects in front of you will appear in front of you. The application window will initially be stretched to fill the entire screen area.
Step 3
In order to view the elements in the part of the screen that is not visible in the "Magnifier" window, move the cursor with the mouse to the desired side. To zoom in on the picture, click on the circle with a plus. If you want to zoom out the image, then click on the circle with a minus.
Step 4
In order to enlarge not the entire screen, but only some specific area of it, enter the "Views" menu and select the "Zoom" item. In this mode, Magnifier will move with the cursor. Only objects near the pointer will be shown in an enlarged view in the program window.
Step 5
If you want the "Magnifier" to be docked in any part of the screen, then in the "Views" menu, select the "Docked" section. This operation will make the location of the program window from moving the cursor.
Step 6
In order to control the "Magnifier" using the keyboard, click on the image of the gear in the program menu and in the list that appears, check the item "Follow keyboard focus". Now, when you press the key with the corresponding arrow in the magnifying glass window, the desired area of the screen will be shown.
Step 7
If you need to zoom in while entering text, also check the box next to "Magnifier follows the insertion point." This feature allows you to do without using the mouse or arrow keys when typing.
