Instructions

Step 1

Before inserting a photo, you need to choose a suitable template. You can download the PSD file from the Internet or use your own selection. After selecting a suitable graphic document, open it in the program using the File - Open item.

Step 2

Drag your photo to the application window and perform the procedure for resizing the image. Using the "Transform" option (keyboard keys Ctrl and T) you can change the size of the photo. Then select your head with the Selection Tools - Elliptical Marquee Tool in the left toolbar window.

Step 3

After the selection operation, press the key combination Shift, Ctrl and I to apply the Invert tool ("Selection" - "Invert"), and then press the Del key of the keyboard to crop the unnecessary part of the photo.

Step 4

PSD template files have layers that allow for easier photo editing. Drag the photo you inserted into the layers panel in the lower right corner of the program so that it matches the background and shape. To do this, drag the layer with your photo to the desired position with the left mouse button.

Step 5

To resize the photo again, use the Transform Tool (Ctrl and T) again and resize your face image to the desired result so that it fits into the template. You can remove unnecessary elements using the Eraser tool on the left panel.

Step 6

Now you need to adjust the complexion in the template. Press Ctrl and B on your keyboard or go to Image - Correct - Image Balance. Use the top menu bar to adjust the tones used in the image for the layer of your face. If you want to add any highlights or adjust the clarity of an image, the Dodge tool in the toolbar can help you.

Step 7

To sharpen it, press Shift, Ctrl and E (Layers - Merge Visibles, and then Image - Adjustments - Brightness and Contrast). Use the sliders in the window that appears to adjust the appropriate parameters, after which you can use the File - Save menu to apply the changes made. The face has been inserted into the template.
