The capacity of modern hard drives is measured in terabytes. Therefore, you have to worry less about the lack of disk space. And if you have a large library of movie and video discs, you can easily copy your entire movie library to your hard drive. At the same time, you will not only be able to watch movies on your computer without inserting a disc into an optical drive, but also copy movies to a USB flash drive and watch them on any modern TV or using a DVD player.

Necessary

  • - disc with video;
  • - Alcohol 120% program.

Instructions

Step 1

Insert the disc into your computer's optical drive. Open the "My Computer" shortcut on the OS desktop and start this disk. Click on the movie with the right mouse button and select the "Copy" item in the context menu. Then open the folder where the video will be copied. In the folder, click on an empty area with the right mouse button and select the "Paste" command. The selected video will be copied to your computer's hard drive.

Step 2

If there are several video files on the disc at once, it makes no sense to copy them separately. Select all files with the left mouse button, and then press the right mouse button. In the context menu, respectively, also select the "Copy" command, and then paste the selected video files into the folder you need.

Step 3

In the case when there are many files on the disk, but you want to copy only some of them, press and hold the CTRL key on your keyboard. Now mark with the left mouse click only those files that you want to copy. Then also press the right mouse button and copy the selected files to the selected folder.

Step 4

The situation is a little different with copying video from DVDs. On such discs, all videos are split into several large files and a special menu is used to play the disc. It is most convenient to save virtual copies of such disks. To do this, run the Alcohol 120% program.

Step 5

On the left in the main menu of the program, select the "Create image" function. Then insert the disc into the drive and click the "Next" button. A window will appear where you need to select the recording parameters. Enter the names for the virtual disk in the folder where it will be saved, and then click the "Start" button. When the burning process is complete, you will have an exact copy of the video DVD. To open a disc, mount it on a virtual drive. Next, right-click on the drive icon and select "Play". The main menu of the DVD will open and you can watch the video.
