There are two manipulators for managing computer resources: a mouse and a keyboard. If one of them does not work, you can almost always find a way to use the second to perform the desired operation. But, of course, it is better that all equipment works properly. If the space bar on your keyboard is broken, you can try inserting it.

Instructions

Step 1

Any key on the keyboard is a simple design that includes a spring element and a retainer. The first one provides a key press, the second one holds it on the keyboard panel. If both are working, simply insert the feet on the inside of the key into the grooves on the keyboard panel and press lightly to make sure the key is secure.

Step 2

When one of the elements is broken - most often this happens with the "legs" of the keys - do not rush to throw away the broken parts. Gently apply glue between the parts of the broken part and wait for it to dry. Then insert the key into place as described in the first step. Be careful, if a layer of wet glue remains on the part, you can also glue the spring element, then the spacebar will stop pressing.

Step 3

If parts of a key cannot be restored at home, it is not rational in all cases to contact a service center with such a problem (an exception is a laptop). Sometimes it is easier to purchase a new keyboard, especially since the prices for this type of device are relatively low. Please make sure the keyboard connector is suitable for your computer before purchasing. If necessary, purchase an adapter additionally.

Step 4

Until a new keyboard is purchased, you can use the virtual keyboard for typing. To access it, click the "Start" button or the Windows key, expand all programs in the menu and find the "Accessibility" subfolder in the "Accessories" folder. Click on On-Screen Keyboard. When the utility window opens, select the "Above other windows" item in the "Options" menu with a marker.

Step 5

With these settings, the virtual keyboard will not disappear behind other windows. You can continue typing on a regular keyboard, and the code will need to put a space character - to use its virtual counterpart. It is also always fashionable to copy the space to the clipboard and paste it in the right places with the Ctrl and C or Shift and Insert keys.
