Step 1
As you can see from personal experience, there is more than one format for saving music. Even an ordinary person, indirectly familiar with the world of high technologies, knows for certain that there are at least two of them - mp3 and wav. The first of these is by right the most popular. Any audio file downloaded from the Internet or file-sharing network will contain the mp3 extension. The second has been popular since about the time CDs appeared. And it was irreplaceable until audio files with a different extension came to the world market.
Step 2
Accordingly, the world has changed and the mp3 format has spread. But many still have old CDs with their favorite songs. And in order not to throw them away, you can simply transfer the music to your computer and save. To do this, place the CD in the drive. An autorun window will appear on the screen, which will offer to perform certain actions. We won't need it. You can safely close this window. Then we look in the "start" panel for a standard player that is installed in each operating system. It is called Windows media player. After running this program, you need to find the "copy from disk" tab. By activating this menu item, the download of music to the hard disk of the computer will begin. The files will be saved under the wav extension. Later they can be converted to mp3 format. But this is optional.
Step 3
If there is no CD, then the person begins to engage in "piracy", illegally download music from the Internet, without thinking in advance about copyright infringement. But, nevertheless, this is being done, so you will have to tell how to download music from the Internet. To do this, enter the name of the song and the author in the line of the installed search engine. Then, out of hundreds of thousands of suggested links, choose the one that you like the most. After that, follow all the instructions indicated on the site from which the download will be made. A window will automatically appear asking you to specify the location to save the file. You indicate. Press the button "save". Saving is done.
