ΜTorrent is one of the most popular Bit Torrent clients. If there are any problems with its operation or if you want to remove it from the system, you can use the standard tools for uninstalling programs in Windows.
Instructions
Step 1
For correct uninstallation of uTorrent, open the program using the shortcut on the desktop in the system or by selecting the appropriate item in the "Start" menu. First of all, you need to delete the torrent list that is stored in the program.
Step 2
In the central part of the utility window, press the keyboard shortcut Ctrl and A to select all menu items. After that press the Del button or right-click on the selected positions and press "Delete" to apply the changes. Then you can exit the utility using the "File" - "Exit" function.
Step 3
After deleting the torrent list, uninstall the application itself. To do this, click the "Start" menu - "Control Panel" - "Uninstall a program". In the list of utilities installed on your computer that appears, find the µTorrent line and right-click on it, and then select the "Uninstall" command.
Step 4
Click "OK" to confirm the procedure. If you want to perform a complete uninstallation and delete all settings as well, put a tick in front of the "Delete settings" item. After the uninstallation procedure is completed, a corresponding notification about successful uninstallation will be displayed on the screen.
Step 5
If you also want to delete all registry entries that may have remained in the system after uninstalling the program, use the CCleaner utility. Download it from the official website of the developer and install in accordance with the instructions of the installer. Run the application using the shortcut on the desktop, then select the "Registry" - "Search for problems" item. As soon as incorrect entries in the registry are found, click "Fix Selected" - "Fix All" and wait for the operation to complete. Cleaning the system from uTorrent is complete.
