One of the most important accessories for a personal computer user is the keyboard. It is with the help of it that you can enter the information you need into the computer. Currently, one of the most popular are Logitech keyboards. They are well designed and reliable. But very often it happens that you flooded the keyboard with some kind of liquid. To clean it, you need to disassemble it.
Necessary
A set of screwdrivers, soft cloth, alcohol, cotton swabs
Instructions
Step 1
First of all, read the instruction manual for your keyboard. If you do not have one, then use the manufacturer's website, where you can download the manual in electronic form. In the manual, you will find a diagram of the structure of your keyboard. It will help you complete the complete disassembly correctly. Prepare a space for disassembly. It is best to place a soft cloth on the table to avoid scratching or damaging the cabinet.
Step 2
Make sure the keyboard is off from the computer. If your keyboard is multimedia, then remove the batteries or accumulators from it. Now turn the keyboard over to the keys down. You should be able to see the small rubber grommets to keep the keyboard from slipping or scratching. Carefully remove these plugs. They are attached to an adhesive base. If it has become unusable or you spoiled it yourself, then replace it with a new one. To do this, carefully scrape off the remnants of the old adhesive from the surface of the plug. Now carefully glue a small piece of double-sided tape.
Step 3
Under the plugs you will find small screws that need to be removed. Try to mark which bolts and where you get them from, so that later you can assemble them in exactly the same order. This is necessary in order not to confuse bolts from different ones, which may differ in width and length. Now turn the keyboard over with the keys up. Between the Caps Lock +/- keys on the secondary keyboard, you'll find four more hidden bolts. They should also be turned out.
Step 4
Now the keyboard case is held only by plastic clips. Open them carefully. Remove the back cover. under it you will see several layers. Disassemble them carefully. The layer with plumes must be carefully cleaned with cotton swabs dipped in alcohol. The rest of the layers can be rinsed in water. Do not forget to disconnect the power supplies with the cord, which should never be exposed to moisture. Then set all parts aside to dry. When they are completely dry, re-assemble them completely in reverse order.
