ITunes is used to sync the contents of your Apple device with your computer. With this program, you can not only download music, images and applications, but also save various information - for example, a list of your contacts.
Instructions
Step 1
The list of contacts in iTunes is saved in order to create a backup copy of data in case of their loss during a device reflashing or problems with the device. Contacts are added to iTunes when the device and computer are synchronized.
Step 2
Open the program and connect your phone, player or Apple tablet to your computer using a USB cable. After connecting, click on the icon of your device, which is located in the upper right corner of iTunes.
Step 3
Go to the "Information" section. In the window that appears, check the "Synchronize contacts" item. Now, every time the device is connected to a computer, the contacts will be saved as backup data in the program.
Step 4
The saved data can be exported in Outlook, Windows Contacts or Microsoft Entourage format. To export and save contacts in the format of these programs, select the appropriate option in the same iTunes menu, and then click "Sync". In the process, you can also manually select the groups that have been created on your device.
Step 5
If contact information has been lost while working with the device, you can restore the necessary items using this option as well. To do this, go to the "Information" tab of the main window again, and then click "Synchronize". If the "Automatic synchronization" option is selected in the application settings, the necessary data will be automatically added to the memory of your device without the need for additional actions.
Step 6
It is worth noting that by choosing the import contacts option, you save only part of the data on your phone. If you want to keep a complete copy of all information stored on the device, go to the "Overview" tab and in the "Backups" section select "This PC". This option will save all the data of your device, and if necessary, you can restore through this section by clicking on the "Restore from a copy" button.
