This function allows you to take a photo if you have a problem with the programs and you need to send a photo of the problem moment to the technical support center. You will need a screenshot to write detailed instructions and manuals for working with the software product and modules, when you need a visual demonstration of the interface or insert separate illustrations into the text. On a computer and laptop, you can take a screenshot of the screen in several ways, using Windows tools or special programs.

One of the easiest ways to take a screenshot of the screen is to use the PrtSc (Print Screen) button located in the top row of the keyboard on the right side. A screenshot of the information displayed on the monitor screen must be made as follows:
1. Press the PrtSc key once, during which no peculiar sounds and clicks are observed, but the screen photo is recorded in the computer's memory.
2. Open one of the programs that work with images (Paint, Photoshop or Microsoft Word).
3. Paint is a standard Windows product found on every computer. To open it, you need to select the "All Programs" tab in the "Start" menu and go to the "Accessories" section. After opening the program in the top panel, select the "Paste" command in the "Edit" section. The photographed image will be displayed on the screen.
4. To insert a screenshot in Microsoft Word, you need to enter the program, open a document, place the cursor on the place where you plan to display the screenshot and use the "Insert" function.
5. To use the screenshot repeatedly, you must save it. To do this, in the "File" section of any of the programs, you need to select the "Save As" command, assign a name to the file, select a folder and confirm saving the document.
If you need to take a screenshot of one open window, you need to press the Alt + PrtSc combination, then enter one of the proposed programs, insert the screenshot and save it.

If the operating system Windows 7, 8 or Vista is installed on your computer or laptop, then you can take a screenshot of the screen or selected fragment in a more convenient way. This can be done using the standard Snipping Tool or "Scissors" program as follows:
1. In the "Start" menu, go to the "All Programs" - "Standard" section and click on "Scissors".
2. A window will appear on the screen in which, on the "Create" tab, you must select the type of snapshot: an arbitrary shape, a rectangle, a window or the entire screen.
3. Mark the image area with the cursor, after which the selected fragment will be displayed in the program window.
In the program, you can edit the image accordingly and save it through the File - "Save As" command.
