If you purchased a computer with the included Windows 7, you may face a situation when the rights of a regular user (that is, you) are limited in their capabilities. This is done so that the inexperienced buyer does not damage the operating system. However, there are ways to get around these limitations.
Instructions
Step 1
Try running a program that requires you to have administrator rights as administrator. To do this, right-click on the file and select "Run as administrator". Thus, you can run almost any file that is located on the hard disk of your personal computer.
Step 2
Try changing your rights from limited to admin. To do this, open Control Panel, section User Accounts and Family Safety. Find your account and check if "Change your account type" is available and use it. If there is no such item, then follow the steps below.
Step 3
Send your computer to reboot. After the motherboard startup screen, press F8 on your keyboard to display the boot options for the operating system. Select Safe Mode from the list and press enter. Wait for the system to load the core components and display a welcome window. On computers with preinstalled Windows, a password is often simply not set for the administrator account, and you can easily log on to the system with his rights. Now you have the opportunity to perform the operations from point 2.
Step 4
If a password is set for the administrator, there are special programs that will help you to throw it off. ERD Commander provides this opportunity. Take the ERD Commander CD and boot your computer from the CD. In the LockSmith utility of the service disk, you can delete the passwords of any user on the system.
Step 5
If all these methods did not help you, and in the operating system you cannot do anything without administrator rights, the last solution remains - to reinstall the system. This time, you will give yourself the rights you want and configure Windows exactly the way you want.
