The Windows XP operating system is designed to work with multiple users. Their accounts change when the computer is restarted or logged out. Any user account can be deleted if necessary.
Instructions
Step 1
User accounts (accounts) in the Windows operating system are managed using a special service. In order to start it go to the "Start" menu and click the "Control Panel" button. In the Control Panel folder, double-click the User Accounts icon. All user accounts of this computer are displayed in the window of this service. With this service, user accounts can be temporarily disabled or completely deleted. It is impossible only to disable and delete only the administrator account with special rights.
Step 2
In order to delete a computer user account, select the required account and click on its icon. This action will open the account settings window, in which all possible actions with it will be presented. To remove a Windows XP user account, click on the "Remove Account" link. After that, make a choice of the action to be performed with the files of the deleted account. This data can be saved on the administrator's desktop, or permanently deleted from the computer. After selecting the required action, confirm the deletion of the account.
Step 3
In addition to being able to log in with a separate account with virtually unlimited rights, you can log in to Windows XP with a special type of account called Guest. The guest account cannot be deleted, but it can be disabled if necessary. To do this, select the Guest account in the User Accounts service window and click the Disable Guest Account button. Now, when you turn on the computer, you will not be presented with a choice of an account to log in.
