RW-marked Rewritable CDs can be erased and re-stored many times. This is especially useful when creating "scratch" disks. The multifunctional software Nero copes well with this task.

Step 1
The Nero application provides a versatile user experience with CDs and DVDs. In addition to rewriting them, you can also copy and recode discs, save archived data discs, create movies and colorful slideshows, cut video, edit audio files and perform a number of very useful functions.

The most successful version of the application is the seventh version of the program. Despite the release of more recent assemblies, the "seven" is still very popular for its practicality, versatility and ease of use. So even a novice PC user can overcome it.
Step 3
To start working with Nero, launch it by clicking on the appropriate shortcut. By default, when the program is installed, it is automatically created on the computer desktop. If there is no shortcut, try to find the program through the Start menu. To do this, you will need to go to the "All Programs" section, find and click on the Nero item.
Step 4
Then, in the Nero Start Smart dialog that opens, select the category you want. To erase the disc go to the "Add-ons" section. From the list of possible operations, depending on which disc you want to erase, select "Erase CD" or "Erase DVD".
Step 5
Click on the required label and proceed to the next step. Here you will need to specify the method for cleaning the disk: quick cleaning of the RW disk or its complete erasure.
Step 6
If you decide to use the first method, keep in mind that this method of cleaning does not delete all information from the disk. That is, the disk will appear to be empty, but the data from it will not be physically erased. This option should be used with caution if there is sensitive data on the disk.
Step 7
With the second method - choosing full cleaning - you will have to wait a while. But in this case, all information will be deleted from the disk.
