An e-book is a convenient and promising invention, and if you want to translate your favorite book or study guide into this format, or publish an e-book about some technique for the readers of your blog, it will not require a lot of time and effort. To create your own e-book, you will need its original in text format (for example, doc), as well as Macromedia Dreamweaver.

Instructions
Step 1
Open the program and create a new document (File> New). Select from Document Types (Basic Page) HTML and click Create.

A blank page will open - save it on your hard drive in the E-book folder, specifying the name of the page. Then create the rest of the e-book pages in exactly the same way, naming them accordingly page1, page2, page3, and so on, saving them to the same folder.

Also create a blank table of contents page and name it content.
Step 4
Open the first page of the book, which you will use as an example for the rest. In the Common tab, click on the table image, in which set the values Rows 3, Columns 1, Width 650 pixels, border 0.

A three-row table appears. In the top row, place the book cover image, author, and title.
Place the text of the page in the middle row. Place copyright information and footnotes in the bottom row.
Step 6
Align and center the table by clicking the Alighn Center option in preferences and setting the background color of the pages to white. Insert a book cover illustration by clicking on the picture icon in the Common tab of the Control Panel.
Step 7
Place the cursor in the second row of the table and create another table inside it, with the parameters Rows 1, Columns 1, and a width of 95 pixels. Center the table.
Step 8
Copy the page text from Microsoft Word and paste on the prepared field inside the table of the second row. Format the pasted text so that it looks readable and comfortable. Select the text on the page and in the settings specify the desired font and size for display.
Step 9
For easy navigation through the book, at the bottom of each page, enter the words “Back. Content. Next , having designed the inscription as a hyperlink - for this, right-click on the desired word and select Make Link.
Step 10
An explorer will appear, where you will have to select a file from the book directory to which the hyperlink will lead. Specify the path from the word "Content" to the table of contents file content. Links "Back" and "Forward", respectively, fill out on the page previous by number and subsequent by number.
Step 11
This is how you style each page of your e-book. When you finish formatting the book, download an e-book compiler (for example, NATATA Ebook Compiler) from the network, install it and run it. Select the "Create Project" section, specify the title of the book, its author, mailing address and website.
Step 12
Open the "Files" tab and "Open directory with files", then select the folder where the created pages of your book are located. Check the box next to "Like a web browser".
Step 13
Specify the table of contents file content. On the events tab, mark what will be displayed in the first place when the book is first launched in the program window. This could be a page on your personal website, or it could be the first page of a book. Create a toolbar with navigation buttons.
Step 14
When everything is done, click "Compile" and your eBook will be saved in exe format.
