Virtualbox virtual machine is one of the most popular and free software systems. It is used when testing various applications, learning new programs, wanting to have one or more operating systems, etc. In this case, the user can visit certain sites and download data from any source without fear for the security of the main OS.
Instructions
Step 1
First download the Virtualbox software from the manufacturer's website and install it following the instructions. Run the application. Next, click the "Create" button in the upper left corner. As a result, a window of the virtual machine creation wizard will pop up. Read the information and click the "Next" button.
Step 2
In the new window, come up with a name for the virtual machine and enter it in the appropriate field. Next, select the type and version of the OS that you plan to install from the list and click the "Next" button. In the next window, set the amount of RAM for future use by the virtual machine. This can be done either with the mouse slider or by typing numbers in the window. Click Forward.
Step 3
At this stage, check the box for creating a hard disk (HDD is needed to install the OS and additional programs). Click Next. In the new dialog box, leave the VDI file type, if you do not plan to use the virtual disk in other similar programs, or select a different type. Click Next and check the box next to the fixed or dynamic attribute of the virtual disk. After that click "Next".
Step 4
In the window, specify the name, location and size of the virtual disk, and then click "Next". Now you need to double-check all the data of the created hard disk. If something does not suit you, you can fix it by clicking the "Back" button. And if everything is fine, click "Create" and wait a couple of minutes while the program creates a virtual disk. Click the Create button to complete the creation of the virtual machine.
