AutoCAD is one of the leading programs in the field of creating drawings and three-dimensional modeling today. Its possibilities in this area are almost endless. In it, you can create drawings of any complexity, from a primitive nut to a very complex mechanism. Often the result of any work is a drawing printed on paper of a certain format. So what is the correct way to print a drawing in AutoCAD?

Step 1
Having a ready-made drawing, we press the "MENU" button in the upper left corner, starting from the ninth version of the program, it is indicated by a large, red letter "A". Next, select the "PRINT" item, a window with print parameters appears in front of us. The same window can be called by pressing the hotkey "CTRL + P".
Step 2
In the paragraph "Printer / plotter" we find the name of your connected printer.
Step 3
In the paragraph "Format" we choose the format that suits us, be it A3, A4 or another, depending on the size of the drawing itself.
Step 4
In the paragraph "Print area" we are offered a choice of several types of print area, they should be considered in more detail:
Borders - when choosing this type, the program will maximally fit the size of the drawing to the sheet format we have chosen.
Frame - we will manually select the area we need using the mouse.
Screen - with this type of printing, the program will print the part of the drawing that is currently in the visible part of the screen.
Step 5
In the lower right corner of the print parameters window there is an arrow when you click on which additional settings will open. They can be used to adjust the orientation and quality of the drawing.
Another important point: if lines of different thickness are used in your drawing, then at the bottom of the working area the button "display lines in accordance with weights" should be pressed.
Step 6
And finally, we press the button in the print parameters window "APPLY TO SHEET" and "OK"
