Step 1
Next, the process of refilling the cartridge will be described using the example of the Xerox Phaser 3100 model. Before you start refilling it, you need to purchase toner. It should be noted that it is better to take the more expensive toner, for example, Xerox 3220 or Samsung 1210. These brands are much better in comparison with their cheaper counterparts. And of course the print quality will be better.
Step 2
Now you need to prepare your workplace. It is difficult to clean the surface of the toner, therefore it is necessary to prevent it from getting on the surface of carpets or other surfaces. You also need to ensure that there are no drafts in the room, so that the windows should be closed. The slightest breeze can carry toner throughout the room. Refuel in old clothes. Handle toner with extreme care to avoid contact with eyes and respiratory tract.
Step 3
Remove the cartridge from the printer. Examine the cartridge. There is a bolt on each side. Unscrew these bolts. The toner compartment is secured with two pins. Remove these pins from the cartridge. Then remove the waste toner box.
Step 4
Now take a look at the drum axle. Press on this axis, as if pushing it inward. Thus, remove the drum unit and charge roller to clean them. The charge roller must first be rinsed and then wiped gently.

Now discard the waste toner from the compartment. Then put the drum unit back in place. As you will see, the access to the plug of the compartment where you need to add toner is limited by gears. Take them off. You will then gain access to the traffic jam. Get her out. Add about 80 grams of toner into the compartment and close the compartment with the stopper. Then just put the cartridge back together and insert it into the printer. You can print a test page to check the print quality.
