Step 1

Select the device where your disk image backups will be stored. For this it is convenient to use a USB disk or one of the separate physical disks of the computer.

Step 2

Download the "Clonezilla LiveCD" software from the manufacturer's website. The program is offered for download in two versions: in ISO and RAR format. It is more convenient to download an iso image for subsequent burning and creating a bootable disk.

Burn the downloaded image to a CD. Please note that you need to write not an iso file, but a disk image unpacked from this file. All CD burning software supports this option.

Step 3

Reboot your computer. Go to BIOS and install boot from CD. Insert the created disc with the "Clonezilla LiveCD" program into the drive and boot from it. In the opened menu of the program, select the item "Clonezilla Live (Default settings)". Select Russian in the language selection window.

Select the disk you want to copy to the backup. The program will offer to create an image on a USB device connected to the computer. If you want to create an image on a USB disk, agree to the program's offer. Otherwise, select the drive for storing the image.

Step 4

Create an image by giving it a unique name. Now, if you need to restore a disk with all the files that existed on it at the time of backup, you must boot from the "Clonezilla Live" boot disk and select the option to restore the disk from an image.
