Step 1
First, create a disk backup using the capabilities of the Windows Seven operating system. Open the Control Panel menu. Select the "System and Security" submenu. Go to Back Up and Restore.

Select "Create a system image". Specify the location where you want to place the created image of the system partition. It is recommended to use DVDs or an external USB drive for this purpose. Click "Next".
Step 3
This window will display a list of partitions from which the image will be created. To start the process of creating a disk backup, click the "Archive" button. Wait for the operation to complete.
Step 4
If you need to create a copy of a non-system partition, then use the Partition Manager program. Download and install the required version of this utility. Run the program.
Step 5
Open the "Wizards" tab located on the toolbar. Select "Copy Section". In the new window, select the "Power User Mode" function and click the "Next" button.
Step 6
In the new window, select the image of the section you want to back up. Click "Next". In the next window, specify the storage location for the future copy. It is recommended to use either an unallocated area of the hard drive or an external USB drive. Click "Next".
Step 7
If you are using an unallocated area, then set the size of the future created partition. Naturally, it should not be less than the size of the copied volume. Click "Next". Complete the Copy Partition Wizard by clicking Finish.
Step 8
Now click the "Apply Pending Changes" button and confirm your choice. Wait for the disk backup operation to complete.
