Step 1
Before purchasing a wireless printer, make sure that the selected device will work in conjunction with the router or Wi-Fi adapter you are using. This is a very important step because many Wi-Fi MFPs are capable of connecting to narrow networks.
Step 2
Connect the printer to AC power. Wait a while until the device is fully loaded. Make sure your wireless access point is operating in the correct mode.
Step 3
Locate the Setup button on the printer control panel. Click it and select "Network". Wait for the list of available access points to be created. Select your wireless network. Enter the security key.

If the printer was unable to connect to the network, print a report by selecting the desired item in the Settings menu. This will help you figure out the cause of the problem.

Some MFPs require Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS). If you are dealing with such a device, press the WPS button located on the printer. This may require a ballpoint pen or pencil.
Step 6
Press the similar button located on the used access point. Wait a moment for the connection between the MFP and the router to be completed.

Now connect to the printer from your laptop or desktop computer. Open the "Start" menu and select "Devices and Printers". Click the "Add device" button if the MFP is not displayed in the list that appears.
Step 8
Wait for the definition of new network equipment. Select it with the left mouse button and click the "Finish" button. After successfully adding the wireless MFP, test its functionality by launching an available text editor.
