Adjusting the screen size allows you to improve the quality of perception of the picture for a particular user. There are no hard-and-fast standards that define the best monitor resolution. Each person adjusts the visualization parameters for himself, taking into account his own vision and preferences. Therefore, the ability to adjust the screen size is essential for any PC user. Screen resolution parameters are set by means of the operating system. In this case, it is necessary to take into account the technological features of the monitor and the capabilities of the video card installed in the system.
Instructions
Step 1
On the desktop, open the Display Properties window. To do this, right-click anywhere and click on the "Properties" item in the context menu. The "Properties: Display" window appears.
Step 2
Select the "Options" tab in the window. Here are the elements for setting the display parameters. Using the slider "Screen resolution" and moving it with the mouse, change the resolution. Set the desired pixel ratio, referring to the numerical values displayed below the slider.

Set the color quality. To do this, in the same window in the corresponding drop-down list, select the required value. After setting all the parameters, review the changes by clicking the "Apply" button.
Step 4
After a short blinking of the display, its resolution will change in accordance with the set data. In this case, the "Monitor settings" window will appear on the screen informing about the resizing. If the visualization with the new resolution suits you completely, click the "Yes" button in this window, which confirms the saving of the parameters. Otherwise - the "No" button. Also, by default, the changes will be canceled by the system automatically after 15 seconds.
