Projection technologies are steadily developing, and despite a number of significant technical problems caused by the very nature of the projection imaging system, the quality of the picture they create is getting better and better. Projectors are increasingly finding a place for themselves not only in offices, but also in houses and apartments. This means that people who do not have special knowledge and skills need to connect a projector.

Fortunately, this is not so difficult to do if you adhere to the following guidelines:

  1. Connect the projector first. Use a cable that matches the connectors on the projector and your computer or laptop. It can be S-Video or VGA (in this case, the projector is connected as an additional monitor).
  2. Place the projection head away from the wall where the screen will be located. As a rule, it is 6-8 meters. Hang the screen on the wall.
  3. Turn on the projector, select a signal source (as a rule, this selection is made using the Input button).
  4. A picture will appear on the screen, but its quality is unlikely to suit you: most likely, it will not match the screen size, and focusing is also unlikely to be all right. Adjust the image using the rings on the projector lens.
  5. In classrooms and classrooms, the projector is mounted on a special stand, and the beam hits the screen strictly perpendicularly. It is rarely possible to do this in a living room, but projectors usually provide the ability to compensate for geometric distortion. However, this feature should not be abused as it degrades image quality.
  6. Most projectors can do the rest of the settings automatically: use the Automatic Picture Ajustment button.
  7. Use the Horizontal Offset and Vertical Offset buttons to slightly "move" the picture so that it better fits into the screen boundaries. You can adjust the color balance as well as the color temperature. Many projectors tend to appear purple.

As important as properly connecting the projector, disconnecting it properly. After turning off the device, the fan continues to run for some time to cool the lamp, so do not disconnect the device immediately.
