A specific category of mobile computer problems is related to a problem with the power supply. Typically, these failures are caused by improper handling of the device and poor quality wiring in the room.

Step 1
Find the source of the problem first. Most power supplies for mobile computers are made up of two elements: a transformer that supplies a stable voltage and a cable that connects the device to a laptop. Check with a tester which element is unstable.

Unplug the power supply from the AC outlet. Disassemble the device case. Remember that this item does not contain screws. Confirm again that the problem is in the wire, and not the transformer itself, by checking the contacts with a tester.
Step 3
Purchase a new power supply cable. Be sure to make sure it contains the right amount of inner cores. Connect the new cable to the transformer replacing the old one. In this case, it is very important to correctly connect each specific wire.
Step 4
Assemble the unit body and wrap it with insulating tape. If you were careful enough to disassemble the block, glue the halves of the case together. The second method is less secure, because may cause the power supply to open during operation.
Step 5
If the problem is in the wire connecting the power supply to the laptop, purchase a new connector. Most often it is this element of the device that breaks down. Be sure to check that the connector on the unit is faulty, not the mobile computer.
Step 6
Cut the cable at a distance of 5-10 cm from the connector. Solder a new adapter. Please note that laptops from some companies have very specific slots for connecting a power supply.
Step 7
If you want to extend the battery life, insert the cables into a plastic tube before soldering the wires. Insulate each individual core. Slide the tube so that it covers the vulnerable spots. Secure it with electrical tape.
Step 8
In the event that the cause of the malfunction is a transformer malfunction, purchase a new power supply. Choose a universal adapter that has a large selection of detachable connectors. Pay attention to the possibility of changing the output voltage.
