A computer keyboard, like any technical device, is very sensitive to dirt, crumbs, spilled liquids, and even cat hair. As a result, after a certain time of use, the laptop keys either simply fall off or require urgent rescue.
Instructions
Step 1
Removing or reinserting a laptop key is not that difficult. To do this, you do not need to be an experienced computer user, it is enough to know the layout of the keyboard device and have an ordinary paper clip at hand. Replacing any computer keys begins with their removal. Only if you grasp the button on both sides on the keyboard of an ordinary personal computer and pull it out with sharp movements, then working with a laptop will require more care.
Step 2
The keys on a laptop are flatter, and if you press too hard, the key retentions may become damaged and you won't be able to insert them anymore. As a result, working on a laptop will become noticeably difficult. To avoid damage, use a regular paper clip. To do this, find a paper clip and disperse it in a straight line. Then, slowly pass the paperclip under the lower key platform and gently pull not yourself. As a rule, the key is quick to give in and easily bounces off the base.
Step 3
Use a paperclip several times to remove multiple keys using the same procedure. Although, do not forget to write down in advance which mounts you remove them from, so as not to get confused with the location of the keys and then correctly assemble the keyboard.
Step 4
After the laptop key is removed, you can start cleaning the keyboard. For the reverse process - installing the key on the base - you need to be no less careful than when removing it. Place the laptop key in the correct position on the base just above the desired mount. As soon as it snaps into place, gently press the key down to the platform.
Step 5
Do not use force - pressing should be quick, but light, so as not to harm the device. When the pressed key is fixed with special plastic fasteners, the keyboard will become functional again.
