A broken keyboard on a laptop is considered one of the most common. The downside is that even a malfunction of one key can only help you to use the laptop for its intended purpose.
It is necessary
- - a new key or an old one, in case it is not completely broken;
- - a damp cloth or alcohol-treated cotton wool;
- - Super glue;
- - screwdriver.
Instructions
Step 1
If the button on the keyboard is stuck, try pulling it back out or removing it completely. A screwdriver or a thick needle is suitable for this. Place the end of the tool under the sunken key and gently pull towards you. The button will detach from the keyboard and pop out of it. Do not do this too hard, otherwise the key may be permanently damaged, and then you will have to look for a substitute, which is sometimes quite difficult.
Step 2
Next, take a damp cloth, or preferably an alcohol-coated cotton swab, and remove dust and other dirt in the vacant niche. Purge this place, it must be absolutely clean. Repeat the same procedure with the back of the button.
Step 3
Assemble the button holder. A small amount of glue can be used to secure it. SuperMoment glue is best suited for this purpose. Drop a drop or two carefully and wait until everything hardens. It will take no more than 1-2 minutes. Then place the button on the keycap in the keyboard niche. Click on it until it clicks. Wait a few minutes and test the key.
