Some mobile computers start to make unpleasant sounds after several months of use. The main reason for their appearance is clogged or overclocked coolers.

Instructions

Step 1

First try to reduce the noise of the laptop using software methods. Download and install SpeedFan software. Study the temperature readings for each device on which a special sensor is installed.

Step 2

Now find a list of all connected fans and reduce the rotation speed of the blades of the desired device by pressing the Down arrow several times. Make sure that lowering the fan speed will not damage the equipment around which it is installed.

Step 3

In the event that the noise has not disappeared or this method does not suit you (the devices overheat), clean the fan. Turn off the laptop and disassemble it. To do this, you will need to unscrew a few screws, as well as carefully disconnect some of the cables. Find the fan you want to clean.

Step 4

Soak a cotton swab in a mild alcohol solution and gently wipe the fan blades. Try to twirl the cooler with your fingers. If you notice a suspicious noise or the cooler is spinning on the axis with great difficulty, then remove the fan from the slot.

Step 5

Carefully peel off the sticker located in the center of the fan. Put some silicone grease or machine oil on the cooler pivot.

Step 6

If this axle is hidden behind a round rubber gasket, remove it. Carefully remove the retaining ring and rubber washer. Remove the blades from the axis of rotation.

Step 7

Apply grease to the axle and the resulting hole. Assemble the cooler. Place it in the slot and secure. Connect power to the fan.

Step 8

Assemble your laptop and turn it on. Make sure the noise level is much lower. Run the SpeedFan program and adjust the fan speeds. Try not to set the minimum speeds to avoid overheating the equipment.
