Instructions
Step 1
When booting the computer, pay attention to the inscription Press … to enter easy boot. Instead of dots, the corresponding key will be indicated, which is responsible for entering this menu. In some cases, not one, but several keys may be used, it all depends on the model of the motherboard in your HP laptop. The most common entry is by pressing Esc.
Step 2
In the menu that appears, set your floppy drive to the first place in the settings and the local hard drive to the second. Apply the change and continue booting the computer by clicking the appropriate button to continue installing the operating system or perform other actions.
Step 3
Change the boot parameters in BIOS. Here you need to know the command to enter this program. The most common keys used in HP notebooks are ESC, Delete, F1, F2, F10, and so on. Please note that this can also be viewed in the motherboard manual or when booting in the Press … to enter setup line. Instead of dots, the required command will be written accordingly.
Step 4
Having entered the BIOS, go to the parameter settings in the Boot menu. Set your floppy drive as the priority device for loading by highlighting it and changing positions using the +/- or arrow buttons (find out more in the menu below, it may depend on the laptop motherboard model). Press F10 or another command provided on the menu to save the settings and go to the setup menu.
Step 5
If in both points you set the operating system to boot from the CD drive and you still cannot boot from the disc, make sure that it is multiboot, there are no scratches or other damages on it. It is suitable for use on other computers. If you do not have it multiboot, overwrite it through the appropriate programs, for example, Alcohol 120%.
