Step 1
To download this program, go to the following link https://www.exlade.com/ru/disk-password-protection and click "Download". After installing it, launch the utility by double-clicking on the keyhole icon. In the main window of the program, you can see all currently available hard drives, including their partitions.
Step 2
Select the disk partition or the hard drive itself that you would like to password protect. For offline protection, it is recommended to run the Protection Wizard. Click the "Protection" top menu and select the "Disk Protection Wizard" item, or click on the corresponding button on the main toolbar.

In the opened welcome window from the Protection Wizard, you must select the category of the disk partition. Set the required parameters and click the "Next" button.
Step 4
In the next window, you will see a list of available partitions and the disks themselves. Select from the list the one for which you want to assign a password. To go to the next window, click the Next button or press the Enter key.
Step 5
Then check the box next to "Install protection" and click the "Next" button again. In a new window you will see a form for entering a password, come up with a complex password, enter it twice (in the first column and in the confirmation column). It is also recommended to activate the hidden protection mode, for this, check the box next to the corresponding line. Click the Next button to proceed with the configuration.
Step 6
A message will appear on the screen stating that the passwords were successfully installed on the selected partitions. A corresponding mark will appear in the disc list. The operation to install the code to disk is completed.
Step 7
It is worth noting that after uninstalling this program, hidden sections will become available to each user as before. Therefore, it is recommended to install the program in a different folder from the Program Files folder.
