Sometimes it becomes necessary to quickly find out the brand of your laptop. For example, if after the repair a new body was used, or the nameplates disappeared from the cover over time. Finding out which manufacturer owns a laptop is easy enough.
Instructions
Step 1
Sometimes in life there is a need to find out the brand of your laptop. For example, if after the repair the plastic case was completely replaced. Or if the nameplates have been torn off as a result of careless handling. Or if there is a need to purchase spare parts - power cables, batteries, video cards, etc. Finding the brand of a laptop in most cases is quite simple.
Step 2
Try to find documents from the laptop - warranty card, data sheet, information brochure, etc. - the brand and model of the computer must be prescribed in them.
Step 3
If no documents can be found, carefully examine the outside and inside of the lid, as well as the bottom of the laptop. Most often the brand is located there. Also inspect the unit on the power wire - often a sticker indicating the manufacturer is also there.
Step 4
If there are no identification marks left on the case, you can refer to the operating system. To do this, go to the "My Computer" section, select "Control Panel" - "System and Security" there, go to the "System" subsection. The manufacturer of the computer must be indicated there, that is, its brand and model.
Step 5
If the system was reinstalled or the laptop was in an out-of-warranty repair, it is possible that the information about the brand of the laptop will turn out to be incorrect. Therefore, it is better to select replacement parts directly to the machine itself, in the presence of an experienced consultant. Failure to do so may result in installation or compatibility issues. In the worst case, this can result in serious damage to the laptop, up to the impossibility of recovery.
