Everything that is displayed in your browser: pictures, music, videos - all these are materials that must be saved to your computer in the form of temporary files before playback. If their number begins to grow, this can affect the performance and correctness of the system. The section responsible for storing temporary information is called the cache. To avoid unpleasant surprises, the cache must be cleared.
Instructions
Step 1
Clearing the cache on a laptop and on a desktop computer is exactly the same. You are running the same programs (internet browsers) that are served in a similar way.
Step 2
Clearing the cache in the Internet Explorer browser is as follows. In the context menu, select the "Service" tab. Find the item "Internet Options". A window will open in which you need to select the "General" tab, there will be a line "Browsing history" and below the "Delete" button, click on it. In the new window, check the box next to the "Temporary Internet files" (copies of web pages, images and media files saved to speed up re-viewing).
Step 3
To delete the cache in the Opera browser, open the "General settings" menu. You can press the key combination Ctrl + F12, you can call this window through the context menu from the "Settings" tab. In the "Settings" window, select the "Advanced" tab and below the "History" line from the list on the left. Opposite the inscription "Disk cache" click on the "Clear" button.
Step 4
If you have a Google Chrome browser, click on the wrench-shaped stash located in the upper right corner of the window. The list will open, find the "Tools" item in it, then select the inscription "Delete data on viewed pages". In the "Clear browsing data" window that appears, tick the "Clear cache" line and click on the "Clear browsing data" button.
Step 5
Mozilla Firefox. To clear the cache in it, select the "Tools" menu tab and in the list that opens, click on the "Settings" line. A new window will open, go to the item "Privacy", where you need to find the line "Personal data". Next to this item, you must click the "Clear now" button.
Step 6
To clear the saved cache in the Safari browser, click on the button that is responsible for the settings. It is in the upper right corner of the browser window. Select "Reset Safari" from the drop-down list. Then click "Clear cache" and then the "Reset" button.
