What if my laptop runs out of power quickly and becomes as awkward to use as a desktop computer that needs to be kept plugged in at all times? Most often, the reason lies in the deterioration of the battery, which has a limited service life. You can solve the problem on your own by replacing the dead laptop battery with a new one.
It is necessary
- Notebook
- Screwdriver
- New battery
Instructions
Step 1
To get started, of course, you need a new battery. It is quite easy to get it nowadays: you can order it on the official website of the manufacturer or in a specialized online store using the Internet. And you can go to one of the electronics hypermarkets - even if there is no battery model you need, you can order it.
Step 2
When a brand new laptop battery is already in front of you, remove it from the packaging and check that there is no debris and dust on the contacts that connect the battery to the contacts of the laptop.
Step 3
Turn the laptop over and place it face down on a flat surface. Disconnect the dead battery.
If the battery is secured with screws, remove them using a screwdriver.
Step 4
Insert a new battery into the laptop. Usually, the battery will click into the groove. If the battery is secured with screws, screw them back.
Step 5
If, after replacing the battery, the laptop still runs out of power quickly, contact the service center - most likely, it is not a dead battery, but an internal malfunction of the laptop.
