The vast majority of laptops have built-in Wi-Fi adapters. These devices allow not only connecting to wireless access currents, but also connecting mobile PCs to a local network.
Instructions
Step 1
To connect two laptops via Wi-Fi, you need to create your own network and connect to it. Choose a mobile computer as the main equipment. If one of the laptops is connected to the internet, use it to create a wireless network.
Step 2
Turn on the laptop and wait for the Windows Seven operating system to load. Click on the icon of network connections in the system tray and select the link "Network and Sharing Center".
Step 3
After opening the selected menu, go to the "Manage wireless adapters" item. Delete all connections shown in the running window. Click the Add button.
Step 4
Select the operating mode of the wireless adapter "Computer-to-computer". This will allow you to connect another device to your laptop. Fill out the form that opens. Enter an arbitrary network name and select the type of security. Check in advance the parameters with which the second mobile PC works.
Step 5
Save the network settings by checking the box next to the item of the same name. Click "Next". Close the Wireless Setup Wizard. Open the list of available Wi-Fi networks. Make sure the newly created network has a message "Waiting for connection" next to it.
Step 6
Turn on the second laptop. Activate the Wi-Fi adapter and go to the list of wireless networks located in the range.
Step 7
Select with the left mouse button the icon of the network that you created on the first laptop. Click the "Connect" button. After a new window appears, enter the password and click the Ok button.
Step 8
Wait for the mobile computers to complete the connection. To provide convenient access to the resources of both laptops, set static addresses for their Wi-Fi adapters.
