Modern laptops are certainly reliable. But sometimes they can still break. Of course, when such a problem arises, you should not disassemble the device and try to fix it yourself without having the appropriate knowledge. But don't panic. Electronics is a complex technique. But its repair is, of course, possible in most cases. Moreover, the problem may not be as serious as it seems at first glance.
So what if your laptop doesn't work? The procedure in this case depends, of course, first of all on what exactly caused the problem.
The device does not turn on at all
In this case, the problem may be:
- In a faulty battery. Just try to remove it from the laptop and connect the device to the network. If the laptop works, it's really about the battery. In order to solve the problem, in this case, simply replace it.
- The motherboard is faulty. Unfortunately, it will hardly be possible to diagnose this problem on your own. You will have to carry your laptop to a specialist.
- In the breakdown of the power supply. In this case, the check can be carried out by connecting another unit.
Also, such problems with a laptop can arise due to a malfunction of the BIOS chip, damage to the power connector, malfunctioning bridges, failure of the multicontroller. In all these cases, the device will most likely have to be carried to the service.
The screen does not turn on
In this case, you must first try to connect an external monitor. If it works, then the problem is most likely the matrix. It will have to be replaced at a service center. Sometimes the inverter is the cause of this problem.
Why the laptop does not work: no initialization
Sometimes it happens that the laptop nevertheless turns on - the indicators light up on it, it starts to buzz, but the initialization does not go on. In this case, the problem also lies in the hardware. In a laptop:
- the north bridge may be damaged;
- the processor or memory is broken.

If it comes down to starting the operating system, but at this stage the computer freezes or restarts, then the problem here, most likely, is not in the hardware, but in a virus infection. You can fix this problem yourself - by reinstalling the OS. In this case, they usually turn to a specialist only when there is very important information on the laptop that cannot be lost.
