The codec may be outdated, incorrectly configured, unstable with your specific playback program. This can be easily verified as follows: just open a few other movies or clips on your computer. If the audio and video are working properly, then the problem is in the file itself. If the sound is still ahead of the video, then the problem is in the codecs. Another reason for the delay in the footage is the playback program itself. Try to open the "problem" file with another player, and, perhaps, everything will work out. This can happen due to the fact that this type of video is poorly recognized by this particular player. This is especially true of the built-in Windows viewer. Install any other program, for example, the universal KMPlayer or GOMPlayer and try to open the file with it. Apart from software problems, or a damaged video file, that is, one that initially has a defect with sound, there are hardware problems. In other words, computer components also age and break. And this can be understood by external manifestations. For example, overheating of the processor often leads to the sound being ahead of the picture. Any diagnostic program with temperature monitoring, for example, Everest or AIDA 64, will help to clarify this. Run this program and look at the readings of the sensors, and then run the video file. If at the same time the temperature rises and the picture begins to lag, then the problem is overheating, you need to clean the system unit or change the cooler. For owners of not new computers or netbooks, in which many films and videos are played with asynchronous sound, there is an explanation. This is due to the fact that the processing power of the processor is too small for fast image processing. When the video is stretched to the full screen without loss and the appearance of squares, but at the same time it "slows down" or twitches, and the sound rushes or lags behind, this is a sure sign that it is time to change your computer, or look for a video in lower quality.
