The part of the text that differs in a special design from the rest of the text will primarily attract the attention of the reader. To create such a distinction, the font size, color and style are used. Borders are sometimes used to highlight parts of the text. You can create such frames using a text editor Microsoft Word.

Instructions

Step 1

Open the text file that you want to create a frame around in Word. If you are dealing with a file of the type for which an association with this program is established, simply double-click on the file icon. You can load the file into the program using the "Open" command from the "File" menu.

Step 2

Using Word tools, you can create a frame around a piece of text, a paragraph, or apply such a design to the entire document. If you needed to frame only a part of the text, select this fragment with the mouse.

Step 3

Open the appearance settings window using the "Borders and Fill" command from the "Format" menu. If your document contains selected text, the default window opens to the Border tab. On the left side of this window, select the type of frame by clicking on one of the icons. The program allows you to create a regular frame, a frame with a shadow effect, volume and more complex.

Step 4

Select the line style for the frame from the list with a scroll bar. If necessary, you can adjust the border color and its width in points. The default colored frame will be black.

Step 5

From the drop-down list on the right side of the window, select the area of application of the design. If you have previously selected part of the text, the list will give you the opportunity to frame a paragraph or part of the text. In the latter case, the frame that you configured will surround each line of the selection separately. If you need to pick up a whole paragraph in one frame, select "Paragraph". Click OK.

Step 6

In the Word program, it is possible to create frames, consisting not only of lines, but also of images. Such frames can only be applied to an entire page. If you need just such a design, go to the "Page" tab in the border settings window.

Step 7

Select from the "Picture" drop-down list one of the available types of images that will make up the frame. In the "Width" field, set the width of the frame in points. On the right side of the window, select the scope of the selected design from the drop-down list. Click on the OK button.
